Formerly a record acquisition for the French team, the Brazilian, full name Savio Moreira de Oliveira, spent his first two years on loan at the club before going on to excel in La Liga with Girona. Owner of City, Troyes, and a portion of Girona are owned by the City Football Group, the holding business and he is high on City’s list of objectives for the summer transfer season because of his remarkable performances, according to the Manchester Evening News.

Who is Savio?
Savio Moreira de Oliveira, also known as Savinho or Savio, is a Brazilian professional football player who was born on April 10, 2004, in Sao Mateus, Espírito Santo, Brazil. He currently plays forward for La Liga team Girona while on loan from Ligue 2 team Troyes. The 19-year-old stands 1.76 m (5 ft 9 in) tall.
A look at Savio’s career so far
In 2018, Savio became a part of Atletico Mineiro’s younger squad. He agreed to a three-year contract with a €60 million release clause when he signed his first professional contract on June 18, 2020. He debuted professionally for Atletico on September 19, 2020, participating in the last ten minutes of the team’s 4–3 Serie A victory over Atletico Goianiense on the road.
Atlético and the City Football Group announced on June 30, 2022, that Savio would be moving to Atlético for €6.5 million, with an additional €6 million contingent upon certain conditions. He went on loan to PSV on July 22, 2022, for the 2022–2023 season. Savio then went on loan to Girona of La Liga on July 13, 2023, for the 2023–2024 season.
