Yara Alhogbani recently became first Saudi woman to win a protennis tournament. The 17 year old defeated Russian-born player Tamara Ermakova to win the J5 Isa Town tournament held in Bahrain. Yara Alhogbani secured a victory in straight sets as the match finished at 6-4 6-2.This was the second time the pair had faced each other.

Yara Alhogbani is presently 17 as she was born on 16 November 2004. She is ranked on the 946th position by International Tennis Federation with 22 wins and 21 losses.17-year-old Yara hails from Ohio and was raised in Virginia, USA where her family lived and they are still her biggest supporters. She stated, “I am so much grateful that my parents allowed us to pursue different passions and career paths as i wanted.”
