Sarah Clasen commits vehicular homicide after colliding with motorcyclist
Sarah Clasen is a state trooper who was recently arrested after colliding with a motorcyclist while allegedly drunk. The accident took place at an intersection in Village Parkway in Richland at around 7:39 p.m. on Saturday, March 1. According to reports, the Richland WA Police Department announced. The victim, identified as age 20 motorcyclist Jhoser Sanchez, reportedly passed away later in the hospital.
Clasen revealed in her statement that she was on her way home when she attempted to make a left turn. While doing this maneuver, she collided with the front right corner of Sanchez’s motorcycle, which led to fatal injuries. Notably, the Richland Police Department disclosed in a press conference that they found various inconsistencies in Clasen’s accounts.
Clasen initially claimed about seeing a single light approaching and mistook it for a car with a missing headlight. Meanwhile, she alleged that the motorcyclist was riding at a high speed during the time of the crash. However, according to Officer Steve Heid, he stated that an attentive driver should have clearly seen the motorcycle.
