The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has appointed Santosh Kashyap as the new head coach of the Indian women’s national football team as per his biography
Santosh will come in as a replacement for the outgoing Chaoba Devi, with his first task to lead the Blue Tigresses at the SAFF Women’s Championships.

Santosh Kashyap bio
Santosh Kashyap is an Indian football manager and former player who was born on June 12, 1966. Kashyap is currently 58 years old as of 2024. He is the newly appointed head coach of the India women’s national football team. Santosh has previously served as the assistant coach for the Indian Super League club Odisha FC. During his time as a professional footballer, Santosh represented India at the international level as well as Mahindra United in the National Football League.
Coaching career and achievements
After retiring from his professional playing career, Santosh Kashyap decide to take up coaching, with first task as the coach for Mahindra United U-19. During his final season with the Mahindra Youth Team, Santosh and his team clinched the Super Division of the Mumbai Football League. He then took over I-League club Air India FC and kept the team out of the relegation zone despite the low amount of funds.
Mohun Bagan eventually appointed Kashyap as coach on May 26, 2012 but he resigned after just two matches. Following his resignation, he joined ONGC F.C. for the rest of the season. Kashyap then managed Rangdajied United F.C. for the 2013/14 I-League season but got sacked following a disappointing start. Santosh Kashyap then started off the 2014/15 I-League season as the coach for the newly promoted Royal Wahingdoh. Under his leadership, Royal Wahingdoh finished in third, but Kashyap left after the club pulled out of I-League.
Later that year in June 2015 Kashyap got appointed as the assistant coach of Indian Super League club NorthEast United. However, he left after just one season, and joined Salgaocaras the head coach in the 2015/16 season. He then joined Mumbai F.C. head coach for the following 2016/17 season. Kashyap last worked as a head coach for Aizawl F.C. and currently serves as Head of Youth Development and Technical Director of Odisha FC.
