The two who initiated this improbable union were the ones who suffered the most. Taraka Ratna and Alekhya, who were madly in love with one another, had to endure a great storm that their relationship caused in their respective families. They even endured a period of exclusion from both families.

The two initially ran into one another while filming Taraka Ratna’s 2012 movie Nandeeswarudu, where Alekhya Reddy was a costume designer. Like many of his earlier movies, this one was a major flop at box office, but its settings provided the ideal backdrop for the development of his romance with Alekhya.

Alekhya, who had already been married once and divorced owing to incompatibility, saw it as a fresh start. She was married to Sandeep Reddy, the head of the Nalgonda Zilla Parishad and, more significantly, the son of the late Aliminati Madhava Reddy, the home minister.

Alekhya continued her fashion design career after they got divorced, which eventually gave her the opportunity to create costumes for Taraka Ratna’s movie.

The Couples’ Union Of Strained Relations

Many attempts were made, and the two were under pressure, to call it quits because of the nature of their diametrically opposed political backgrounds. Yet, unfazed, the two stuck to their commitment to one another, even though it meant facing a type of family boycott.

Following their marriage, the two lived in obscurity for a while and were viewed as “persona non grata,” even at family gatherings. The exile was so severe and onerous that Taraka Ratna’s family did not even ask him to his sister’s wedding. After a time, though, the grumpy seniors began to cheer up. The pair was once more accepted in each other’s families as time treated all the wounds and smoothed out the relationships’ jagged edges.

Since that time, they had all lived in peace with one another until Taraka Ratna’s untimely death, when a horrible twist of fate played a cruel joke on them.
