Jubilant FoodWorks Ltd (JFL) announced Sameer Khetarpal as its new CEO and managing director, effective September 5, for a five-year term.

Khetarpal, who replaces Pratik Pota, comes to JFL from Amazon, an e-commerce giant.
Khetarpal developed, established, and expanded multiple Amazon companies over the previous six and a half years, including Amazon Fresh, Amazon Food, and Amazon Pharmacy.
Before joining Amazon, Khetarpal worked at McKinsey and Co. as a partner. Khetarpal is a graduate of the Indian School of Business (ISB) and has previously worked for GE Capital and Hindustan Unilever Ltd.
Who is Sameer Khetarpal?
During his 25-year career, Sameer has held various senior leadership positions in industries such as e-commerce and management consulting, and he joins Jubilant from Amazon. While his exact age isn’t known, he is aged between 50-60 years.
He has created, established, and expanded multiple companies at Amazon over the previous 6.5 years, including Amazon Fresh, Amazon Food, and Amazon Pharmacy. He has grown these companies using world-class supply chain infrastructure, deeply ingrained technology, and several inorganic investments and collaborations.
Before joining Amazon, he was a Partner at McKinsey and Company, where he advised various high-tech clients on business development and transformation issues, and was crucial in developing data-driven service lines utilised by multiple Fortune 500 firms.
Previously, Sameer worked at GE Capital and Hindustan Unilever. Sameer has been driven by a desire to assist consumers and grow businesses by embracing technology throughout his career.
Jubilant FoodWorks Netherlands B.V., a fully owned subsidiary, raised its interest in DP Eurasia through different on-market transactions, the firm announced on Monday. In Turkey, Russia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia, DP Eurasia is the official master franchisee of Domino’s Pizza. JFN owned 42.70 per cent of DP Eurasia’s issued share capital as of May 29, 2022.
On Monday, the firm also released its quarterly profits. The business recorded a 12.87 per cent increase in quarterly revenue from operations to 1,157.88 crores in the three months to March and an 11.3 per cent increase in standalone profit to 116 crores from 104.2 crores in the year-ago period.
Sameer’s salary at the company isn’t known but it is said to be a multi-crore package to make him one of the highest paid CEOs in the country.
