Just recently, violent chaos erupted in Sambhal on Sunday following a court-ordered survey of the Mughal-era Shahi Jama Masjid.

Sambhal Violence
Following a court-ordered survey of the Shah Jama Masjid of Sambhal district of Uttar Pradesh, the survey team reached there on Sunday. The court issued the survey following claims of the Harihar temple’s existence on the same grounds as the masjid. However, upon their arrival, Muslim protestors created a ruckus and started pelting stones at the police force as well. As a result of the incident, three people have died while school and internet services in the area have been shut down. IPS Krishna Kumar Bishnoi, who is the Superintendent of Police in Sambhal, took charge of bringing the crowd under control.

Krishna Kumar Bishnoi is a 2018 batch IPS officer who originally hails from Diksha village in Barmer district, Rajasthan. He is the youngest of six siblings and received his early education in his native village. Over the years, Krishna has gained quite the reputation for his efficiency and ruthlessness in carrying out his duties.

Krishan Kumar Bishnoi who is the son of a farmer and a housewife mother from Dhorimanna block in Barmer district secured 174th rank in the civil services examination, 2017.
His elder brother is a RAS officer, while his two sisters are medical and revenue officers.
Bishnoi worked with the Ministry of External Affairs back in 2017 as an expert on China affairs and prior to this, he worked at the United Nations Development Programme as consultant for African countries.
Education
Krishna Kumar Bishnoi was always a bright student since childhood and even topped the district in his 8th standard. After passing the 10th examination with first position, he studied his 12th from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jodhpur. Following which, he completed his graduation from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi.
After his selection at the Saint Stephen College in Delhi, Bishnoi got a scholarship to study at Fletcher Institute of International Relations in France and also got a chance to study at Harvard University for some time.
He then received a ₹40 lakh scholarship to study in France and graduated in 2015 with a master’s degree in international security from the Paris School of International Affairs.
Krishna Kumar Bishnoi then studied at ‘The Fletcher School’ and got a job with an annual salary of ₹30 lakh. He was working at the United Nation’s Trade Center but returned to India after working for a year. After returning to India, he completed his M.Phil from JNU and soon began working in the Ministry of External Affairs. While doing so, he prepared for the civil service without taking any coaching and cracked UPSC to become an IPS officer in his second attempt.
