Saloni was born in Delhi in 1989. She has exhibited a diverse range of talents since childhood. As per her official LinkedIn profile, Khanna completed her Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Hansraj College, Delhi University in 2013.
She furthered her education by obtaining a Master’s degree from Himalayan Garhwal University in 2016 in Economics.

Saloni practices Hinduism and holds Indian nationality, belonging to the Khatri clan of the Dhai Ghar Community. In her early career, she served as a youth ambassador and interned at Religare Wellness Gurgaon.
Additionally, she was also a Youth Ambassador for Adidas from 2012 to 2013. She even worked with Vogue as a youth influencer.
From 2015 to 2017, she served as a research specialist for the Government of India. She is also a co-founder of Khanna Skill Up, an organization that aids UPSC aspirants in their preparation. Currently, Saloni teaches at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Evening College.
