J&K Bank Sacks Chief Minister Sajad Bazaz
The managing director stated that he was satisfied after taking into account the case’s facts and circumstances, as stated in the report from “credible agencies.” According to Organisational Service Manual (OSM) Rule/Provision 12.29, Bazaz’s actions called for his termination from employment.
Bank communication said, “It was decided that an investigation against Sajad Ahmad Bazaz, Chief Manager, would not be regarded as acceptable or advantageous given the state’s security interests. Mr Bazaz’s duties as Chief Manager are hereby terminated with immediate effect in light of this.”
Termination Of Employment
In accordance with Section 311 of the Constitution, the local authorities have terminated the employment of more than 50 public servants in the previous two years. Doctors, engineers, teachers, police officers, and administrative staff are among the personnel. A tax official, a police officer, and Faheem Aslam, the PRO of the University of Kashmir who also contributed to Greater Kashmir, were all fired by the UT administration in July.
According to sources with knowledge of the investigations, Bazaz has a 13-page charge sheet ready.
Everything You Need To Know About Sajab Bazaz
Bazaz was at the peak of his profession. He was hired as a cashier clerk in 1990 and later promoted to head of internal communication at J&K Bank, a government-owned company, in 2004. He is an accomplished writer.
Investigations have uncovered Bazaz’s connections to the ISI, Pakistan’s secret service. After Article 370 was repealed, top investigators started looking into the connections between deep ISI assets and the terrorist network, and Bazaz’s name kept coming up. The detectives claimed, “After a month-long laborious investigation, they were in for surprises.”
According to these findings, ISI installed Bazaz at JK Bank in 1990 as a cashier and clerk through the proprietor of a local daily.
Because of the system’s then-larger and deeper subversion, “he was suddenly promoted to a position in 2004. According to the findings, that was highly suspicious but did not raise eyebrows.
Sajad Bazaz’s Connections With ISI And Terrorist Separatist Networks
“Sajad Bazaz was an embedded asset of the terrorist-separatist networks working on behalf of ISI and has been an intrinsic and inseparable part of Greater Kashmir since its inception in the early 1990s,” investigators claimed.
They further disclosed that Bazaz worked full-time for Greater Kashmir as a correspondent and columnist in addition to being employed full-time by J&K Bank. Additionally, the reports state that everyone was aware of his doing.
The many aliases Sajad Ahmad Bazaz penned and published under are evidence gathered by the agencies that he did not have sincere intentions as a parallel employee of Greater Kashmir. He initially wrote under the pen name “Sajjad Ahmad.
” He deftly eliminated the “Bazaz” from his last name and added one more “j.” Later, as time went on and he grew more confident, Sajad added his last name and wrote under the byline “Sajjad Bazaz” when neither his employer nor the law of the land could hold him accountable for his wrongdoings. Additional evidence linking him to Greater Kashmir is also available. According to the investigators, in the form of the official email account that Greater Kashmir assigned to him: mailto:[email protected]
Sajad Bazaz’s Support for Pakistan
His news articles and editorials almost exclusively focus on defending and elevating the secessionist-terrorist effort in J&K. While some are understated, others are barely disguised. Through his on-the-ground reporting and opinion pieces, Sajad supported Pakistan’s position on human rights abuses, tripartite talks, and UN action in Kashmir through his weekly columns “Off the Record” and “What’s Up” in Greater Kashmir (GK).
Investigators frequently cite Bazaz’s articles from GK, in which he supports the Pakistani position on Kashmir. Investigators believe Bazaz wrote: “No matter how hard the Indian state tries to pacify, accommodate, and cajoling, it will never succeed in its mission in Kashmir.”
Sajad Bazaz As The Editor In J&K Bank
Investigators found that on October 20, 2003, a proposal for creating a post of Editor at J&K Bank was presented to the Board of Directors of J&K Bank and approved. This is relevant to the circumstances under which Bazaz was promoted from a clerk to a gazetted equivalent post of editor, specially created for him. The following glaring irregularities highlight the fact that his appointment to the position of editor was a subversion.
In an internal communication on October 16, 2003, the bank had already invited applications from the cadre of cashiers and clerks to fill the newly created post of editor four days before the proposal was approved by the board.
The Requirements Specifically To Admit Sajad Ahmad Bazaz:
- First, the requirement for a written test was removed.
- Second, Sajad was given an unfair advantage by limiting the catchment area to the cashier/clerk cadre. An officer-grade position that was not advertised and for which the general public was not given the chance to apply is itself an issue for a criminal investigation.
- Thirdly, the enemy was unable to completely cover their tracks despite their best efforts to sway events in Bazaz’s favour. In the original plan, it was stipulated that the applicant must possess publications related to banking and finance. Bazaz had none to his credit at the time of his selection. (He produced some articles about this much later to cover it up.)
- Fourthly, the officer cadre employees who were superior candidates and qualified in journalism and mass communication were kept out of the running (it should be noted that qualification in journalism and mass communication was made a criterion for selection to this post of editor).
- The bank’s Rule No. 323 about Officer Recruitment, Discipline, Conduct, and Appeal Rules-2000 was entirely disregarded, which is the fifth and most significant item.
Sajad Ahmad Bazaz is the only officer in the whole history of J&K Bank who received a silent concession despite flagrantly violating this statutory prohibition. He has not yet taken the exam, but despite this, he was given three promotions and was also moved from the general officer’s cadre to a “one-man cadre” in order to benefit him.
Sajad Bazaz was chosen from a very small group of four candidates after an interview despite the interview board, which included the then Chairman of the Bank, M.Y. Khan, Director Haseeb Drabu, Chief General Manager P.Z. Lateef, and Deputy General Manager M.A. Shah.
At the time, Sajad Bazaz was a full-time employee of Greater Kashmir, even while he was on the rolls of J&K Bank. The board also disregarded the fact that he openly supported separation from India and was vehemently opposed to it.
In this case, a thorough investigation should be conducted into the enemy’s entanglement and intrusion into the J&K Bank.
Sajad Bajaja Misused His Power As An Editor Which Was Specifically Created For Him By J&K
He was given a new power, and he used it to enrich himself by paying for advertisements in a few local newspapers and news magazines using money taken from the J&K Bank’s funds.
According to the statement, he was chosen and appointed Editor at the bank by a clique and coterie. After which, he eventually rose to the rank of important member, having infiltrated the political system to support the secessionist-terrorist campaign at the direction of Pakistan’s ISI.
He also benefited Greater Kashmir by sanctioning advertisement money. It aided them in spurring pro-Pakistan news magazines and newspapers other than GK.
Investigations have revealed that Sajad was actually installed by the enemy in his current position at the J&K Bank through Fayaz Kaloo. He was given orders from across the border to assist in creating new media platforms that would amplify and echo the Jehadi and Pak narratives already being spread by Greater Kashmir in a way that was far more virulent and vitriolic.
According to investigations, Bazaz was in constant touch with various ISI handlers and committed similar acts, which are all stated in a thirteen-page chargesheet.
