The attack which was done on Kishida took place after the former Japanese Prime Minister, who is Shinzo Abe was assassinated at the campaign event. Authorities have arrested Ryuji Kimura. He threw the pipe bomb at Kishida. According to the reports of national broadcaster NHK, gunpowder, a pipe-like object, and some other tools were been found at the 24-year-old’s home.
An Investigator revealed that they believe that the explosion which took place was homemade by Ryuji Kimura. The authorities are not able to confirm the motive behind this attack.

Ryuji Kimura is the suspect in a pipe-bomb attack that was attacked on Japanese PM Kishida. Kimura’s phone is under investigation. The 24-year-old was transferred to the Wakayama prosecutors’ office from a police station. Ryuji has been charged on suspicion of obstruction in business.
Police, on Sunday, investigated for more than 8 hours searching his home. ‘The residents were temporarily evacuated over the threat of explosives,’ as per a report has been made by the news agency AFP. As per local media reports, Ryuji Kimura had a track record of suing the government. He also claimed that he was unfairly barred from running in national elections.
The suspect has reportedly filed a suit in Kobe district court in the June of last year. He claimed that he could not run for the election because of his age and inability to prepare a $22,339 (3 million yen) deposit.
As per Japanese law, candidates for the election of the upper house are supposed to be 30 or older. 25 years is considered the minimum age for running the lower house elections according to Japanese Law.
