The Netherlands Cricket Team, which has many players originating from South Africa, faced the SA Cricket Team at the ICC Men’s World Cup today.
Who is Ryan Cook Netherlands cricket coach, biography, age, father, salary and career stats
Last year, the Dutch team defeated the South Africans in the T20 World Cup and this year, they did the same in the ODI World Cup as they outlasted them with 38 runs in Dharmshala. One of the tournament favourites, South Africa, bowled out for 207 after needing 246 to win. The match was started late due to rain and the fixture between the two teams was reduced to 43 overs.
Meanwhile, before the World Cup in India, Cook, the coach of the Netherlands, was begging subcontinental countries to play cricket with them, talking about more “resources” so that they could compete “better”. Even if the Netherlands defeated South Africa in the T20 World Cup the previous year, this time, it was very different due to the One-Day International (ODI). However, the team knew what was “required to get the job done,” as per Cook.
Now that the team has created history by beating the team in consecutive World Cup matches, here is all you need to know about the Dutch head coach.

Ryan Cook from South Africa is the Netherlands Cricket Team head coach. He temporarily replaced Ryan Campbell last year in May as an interim manager for the Dutch team.
