Who is Daniel Ebenyo?
Daniel Simiu Ebenyo is a middle- and long-distance runner from Kenya. He was born on September 18, 1995.

Growing up in Baragoi, Samburu County, he was raised by his mother and later by his grandmother after losing his father to cattle rustling when he was a small boy.
A look at Daniel Ebenyo’s career
At the Kenyan national World Championship trials in 2019, the 28-year-old placed second. Nevertheless, he was disqualified from competition due to noncompliance with certain Athletes Integrity Unit (AIU) doping regulations.
Meanwhile, Daniel won the elite-only San Silvestre Vallecana 10 km in Spain on January 3rd, 2021, to kick off the season in style. He was second in the Kenyan Olympic trials and ran a personal best 13:05.05 to earn a seat on the Kenyan 5000m team for the 2020 Summer Games.
