Following the order, the police visited her residence in Varanasi’s Bhelpur neighborhood, posting a copy of the court order on the wall. Roshni and her family were charged under several sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita, including those addressing collective criminal acts, assault with intent to disrobe, attempted murder, grievous harm by groups, unlawful assembly, and intentional provocation.
The charges stem from a reported incident on 15th September, in which Roshni allegedly attacked a BJP worker named Rajesh Kumar in Varanasi’s Pandeypur locality in the Premchand Nagar Colony. Notably, the footage showed the victim being restrained by two individuals while Roshni and her husband alternately slapped him, with his wife and daughter reportedly manhandled during the incident.
Allegations surfaced online that Rajesh had issued threats, yet evidence was reportedly lacking to substantiate these claims. Despite the allegations, social media users were seen supporting Roshni, prompting Rajesh’s wife to later file a police complaint and protest for justice. Though Roshni’s husband and brother were arrested, she evaded authorities, remaining on the run.
Age 30 Jaiswal was born in Varansi in 1994 and after completing her secondary education she enrolled in the Fashion designing from International school of Fashion Designing INIFD.
In the year 2018 she won Mrs India international Award and Mrs India Glamorous Award and started her own NGO as well.

For the last 40 days, Roshni’s husband, brother and 5 other people are in jail and an order has been issued to attach Roshni’s house. Roshni has a kid as well.
Vivek Shankar Tiwari, Rajesh Singh’s counsel, said that Ms Jaiswal and her supporters had attacked the BJP worker outside his home, leading to an FIR filed by his wife, Anu.
How Roshni reacted to the allegations?
Recently, as the court issued a warrant for her apprehension, she posted a video online, defending her actions by suggesting she was acting against an alleged wrongdoer. However, evidence confirming the claims against Rajesh Kumar appeared absent. The Congress party publicly supported Roshni, framing her actions as standing against alleged threats.
Earlier this year, Roshni attracted criticism for controversial social media posts, including a derogatory cartoon involving Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. Additionally, she posted remarks aimed at BJP leader Smriti Irani and the wife of Chief Justice of India Dy Chandrachud, as well as further contentious statements in July where she reportedly misrepresented financial statistics related to the Congress party.
