Beginning close to Butler Avenue and Milton Road, the incident proceeded eastward along Route 66. According to the authorities, a Tesla and a Chevrolet Cavalier were the two cars involved.
The Cavalier’s driver, subsequently identified as Flagstaff resident Robert Antherton, 33, collided with the Tesla on the 2000 block of East Route 66, causing both cars to come to a stop.
Police claimed that a “confrontation ensued” after the cars stopped, but the parties involved gave them differing versions of what transpired. Police were informed by witnesses that both parties had been driving erratically before to the altercation.
Police were told by all those engaged in the incident that “driving behaviours, honking, and disorderly hand gestures” were the cause.
“At the time of the investigation no additional details regarding the motives behind the incident were provided,” the Flagstaff Police Department said in a news release.
“In lieu of detention,” Artherton was detained on a criminal citation for aggressive driving, assault, and disorderly conduct while receiving medical attention for a hand injury.

Additionally, he denounced as unlawful the organization of campaigns advocating violence.
Musk made it clear that the people in charge of organizing and financing these initiatives would be named.
Elon Musk’s remarks coincide with demonstrations against his influence and policies under President Donald Trump that broke out outside Tesla stores in the US and several areas of Europe.
The demonstrators were attempting to intensify a campaign against Musk’s position as head of the recently established Department of Government Efficiency that targeted Tesla stores and automobiles.
