The documents revealed how the brand handled New York Post’s reporting about Biden for blocking people from tweeting and direct messaging about it.
In the threads of what happened behind the scenes, which are now going viral, author Matt Taibbi penned that Khanna was the only Democratic official who had a concern.
In one of the threads, author Matt wrote, “In one humorous exchange on day 1, Democratic congressman Ro Khanna reaches out to Gadde to gently suggest she hop on the phone to talk about the “backlash re speech.”
He further added, “Khanna was the only Democratic official I could find in the files who expressed concern.”
In another follow up tweet, the former head of legal, policy and trust of Twitter, Vijaya Gadde, replied, “immediately diving into the weeds of Twitter policy, unaware Khanna is more worried about the Bill of Rights.”
Who’s Ro Khanna?
For those who are unfamiliar with Khanna, let us tell you, the 46-year-old American politician is a representative of California’s 17th District in the 117th Congress.
The lawyer was elected to Congress back in 2016 and is presently serving his third time. Moreover, Khanna is also the Chair of the Oversight Subcommittee on the Environment.
He is also known as a member of the House Oversight and Government Reform, Agriculture, as well as member of the Armed Services Committees.
Khanna is also popularly known as the Democratic Vice Chair of the House Caucus for Indian Americans.
He presently resides in Fremont, California, along with his wife Ritu Khanna and their 2 children.
Since 2016, Khanna has been serving as the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives at Smart Utility Systems. Khanna was born in Philadelphia, PA, during America’s bicentennial, to a middle-class family. Both of his parents immigrated to the United States in the 1970s from India. Khanna’s father is a chemical engineer who graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and the University of Michigan.
