A tourist Rishi Bhatt riding a zipline in the Baisaran Valley of Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) unintentionally recorded the Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 lives, according to a video that has gone viral on social media

A week after the incident, the video went viral on social media, shocking people all over the nation.

In the widely shared video, a tourist who was later identified by news channels as Rishi Bhatt records himself grinning while riding a zipline. There are gunshots, people running, and a man falling to the ground after running for a time in the backdrop.

The terror incident, which primarily targeted visitors, took place on April 22 at the well-known tourist attraction in Pahalgam’s Baisaran meadow.

Rishi Bhatt is a resident of Paldi, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The terror attack happened while he and his wife and son were on holiday in the Baisaran Meadow in Pahalgam.

Bhatt described how he and his family were able to flee as terrorists started shooting at the tourists in a video that went viral.

While riding the zipline in Baisaran, Rishi Bhatt admitted that he was not aware of what was happening on the ground. He claimed that his wife didn’t tell him about the attack until he got to the opposite end.

“Mahaul poora sahi tha, jaise hum zipline start kar rahe the, ussi time par firing start ho gayi thi around 1:28 pm ke aas paas, kariban 20 min ke aas paas firing start rahi thi. Jab main neeche pahocha toh meri wife ke saamne, uske hisaab se, 2 logon ko religion puchke 6 feet ke distance par goli maar di thi [The atmosphere was fine just as we were starting the zipline, the firing started around 1:28 pm, and it continued for about 20 minutes. When I reached the bottom, according to my wife, two people had been shot at a 6-foot distance after being asked about their religion,” Rishi Bhatt said.

He swiftly separated from the zipline and ran away with his family.

“I unlatched my belt and jumped down, took my wife and son and started running away. We saw people hiding at a spot which was like a pit, so you could not spot someone easily there. We too hid there,” he revealed.

According to Rishi, the firing lasted for 8-10 minutes before a brief pause, after which it resumed. “The firing started again, and 4-5 people were shot. 15-16 tourists were shot in front of us.”

In reference to his widely shared video, which showed the zipline operator yelling “Allahu Akbar” three times before ejecting him from the ride while gunfire echoed in the background, Rishi Bhatt said that the operator had not acted in such a manner with other visitors who were also ziplining.
