Rinson Jose main suspect in Lebanon pager blasts
Rinson Jose, is an Indian-origin entrepreneur who is the main suspect in the investigation surrounding the recent pager explosions that took place in Lebanon. The incident, which took place on September 17, killed nearly 20 people, while injuring thousands of Hezbollah members. According to the reports, Jose is the main suspect involved in the supply chain for the pagers that led to the detonation of the bombs.
The explosions have reportedly raised various concerns regarding the involvement of several companies behind the devices. According to reports, a Hungarian company, named BAC Consulting manufactured the pagers, under the trademark of Taiwanese firm Gold Apollo. Despite this, Norta Global were responsible for acquiring them.
Rinson Jose bio
Rinson Jose is an Indian-born entrepreneur and Norwegian citizen, who is currently the main accused in the Lebanon blasts. He is currently 37-years-old, and moved to Norway over a decade ago. According to reports, Jose last visited his home in Wayanad, in November, before returning in January. He is the son of Jose Moothedam, a tailor who owns a shop in Mananthavady.
Rinson who was born in Ondayangadi village of Wayanad to a couple working as tailors. His twin brother stayed in the UK while his sister worked as a nurse in Ireland and the businessman lives in Oslo, Norway with his wife.
Education
Rinson Jose completed his MBA from Pondicherry University as well as Masters in International social welfare and health policy from the Oslo Metropolitian University.
Profession
According to his social media profiles, Rinson Jose was associated with a job consultancy firm based in Norway. It also stated that he is currently employed with DN Media group, and runs Nortalink, an IT and consulting firm. Moreover, Jose is the sole owner of Norta Global Limited, a Bulgaria-based company.
Family speaks out
Following the shocking incident, Joseโs family, who are based in Wayanad, Kerala, expressed their astonishment regarding his suspected involvement. While speaking to local media, his uncle, Thangachan, stated that Rinson must have been deceived or misled about his business dealings. Meanwhile, Rinson Joseโs cousin Aju John, stated:
He never told me about a company he owns in Bulgaria or any of his business relationships there. We are very much worried as it is linked with the attack on terrorist outfit.โ
