The 2023 Met Gala co-chair Dua Lipa started her musical career by posting both original songs and covers to her YouTube page. Her single “New Rules” became a huge smash in 2018, propelling her into the mainstream after she signed with Warner Music Group in 2015.

Of the three children of Anesa and Dukagjin Lipa, Rina is the middle child who was born on 14 May, 2001 with the British model standing at 1.6m. North-West London is where Dua, 28, Rina, and their 13-year-old brother Gijn were born and raised.
Their father, Dukagjin, was the lead singer of the Kosovar rock group Oda, therefore music runs in the family. Anesa, their mother, is employed in tourism. The family is Kosovo-Albanian, and Rina spent a small period of her childhood, six years in Pristina, the capital of Kosovo.
Speaking Albanian fluently, she attributes much of her personal development to her time in Kosova and has stated that many of her happy childhood memories stem from her time spent in her parents’ homeland.
Rina Lipa was raised in a Muslim family and her parents are Albanian immigrants from Kosovo. Rina graduated with a degree in drama and theatre arts from Goldsmiths. She is currently single and unmarried.
Rina began her acting career during childhood, taking lessons at the Sylvia Young Theatre School in London, followed by a degree in drama and theatre arts from Goldsmiths and made her movie debut in Expectations – a contemporary spin on Charles DIckens’ Great Expectations and also landed a role in a horror film directed by Gianluigi Carella.
She began her career at Milan Fashion Week AW21, where she walked for GCDS.
