A baseball reporter for ESPN, Marly Rivera, started yelling at Ivon Gaete, a freelance TV reporter, in Spanish as she was waiting for New York Yankees star Aaron Judge to finish signing autographs for some young fans at Yankee Stadium last week.

What thrust her into the public eye was her most recent argument with former ESPN reporter Marly Rivera.
Gaete asked how Rivera was doing. Rivera apologised in jest, “Oh, I’m sorry, I didn’t know you speak English now.” Then Rivera said, “What an f—ing c—,” in front of Judge and the children.

In the early 2000s, Gaete started working as a freelance writer.
Gaete began her career in foreign radio and television. The former Special Olympics Venezuela ambassador works as a freelance sportscaster for MLB and TBS Japan.
Whereas John Blundell has spent 28 years working for the MLB. The couple has a boy and a girl as children, and they reside in New York.
What’s up with Ivón Gaete and Marly Rivera clash?
Marly Rivera was fired by ESPN for calling Ivón Gaete a “f***ing c**t” while attempting to interview Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees.
Before a game at Yankee Stadium on April 18, Gaete and Rivera each attempted to speak with Judge. Gaete denied Rivera’s assertions that she had set up a meeting with Judge.
During the subsequent argument, Rivera was captured on camera calling Gaete a “f**king c**t.”
On Wednesday, Rivera released a statement in response to the company’s choice to fire her.
She said:
I fully accept responsibility for what I said, which I should not have. There were extenuating circumstances but that in no way is an excuse for my actions. I am a professional with a sterling reputation across baseball and I do believe that I am being singled out by a group of individuals with whom I have a long history of professional disagreements.”
