According to Diari ARA, the transfer wasn’t limited to Roony alone. Barcelona have also signed his younger brother, Rayan Bardghji, who is set to join La Masia. The 15-year-old winger, who previously played in Copenhagen’s youth setup after moving from Malmö in 2020, accompanied Roony to Catalonia earlier in the day.
Age 15 Rayan is regarded as a highly promising talent with significant potential. With La Masia currently witnessing a surge of exciting young prospects, all eyes will be on Rayan’s development and whether he can eventually follow in his brother’s footsteps by breaking into the Barcelona first team.

Rayan who is a right footed left winger is aged 15 but his height isn’t known. Roony’s parents are Samir and Rola Bardghji and they are originally from Syria, specifically Aleppo but moved to Kuwait for Samir’s work in the retail industry, where Rayan and his elder brother Roony were born. Later, due to the conflict in Syria, the family relocated to Sweden.
His parents moved from Syria to Kuwait when Samir got a job working in a clothing shop with Rayan born in a Muslim family.
Born in Kuwait to Syrian parents, Rayan’s elder brother Roony moved to Sweden with his mother and brother at the age of six, later reuniting with his father. Roony Bardghji was born to Syrian parents in Kuwait in 2005 and the youngster is eligible to represent Kuwait, Syria, and Sweden. Bardghji was raised and developed in Sweden, where he played for Malmö FF before moving to Denmark at just 14.
