According to the Bentonville Police Department, Sullivan was well aware of the consequences of his lyrics and that neither his employer nor his parents knew anything about them.

Police arrest Reese Alexander Sullivan for disturbing song lyrics
According to reports, police arrested Reese Alexander Sullivan on November 2, 2023, after he reportedly used threatening lyrics referencing violence and threats to his songs. Reports state that an anonymous person saw the lyrics for the first time and informed the FBI National Threat Operations Centre earlier this year on August 21. Following the reports, law enforcement officials looked into nine of Reese’s music videos.
Following the investigations, police officials arrested Reese and charged him with first-degree domestic threatening. However, just a few days after the arrest, authorities released Reese Alexander Sullivan on November 4, 2023. They released him on a bond of $50,000, and he will have to appear in court on December 11, 2023. Authorities have banned Reese from using social media or sharing any kind of writing, audio clip, or video up until then.

Based on the investigation around Reese, Sullivan’s lyrics reportedly referred to threats of “killing kids, r*ping children, bringing his gun to school, and killing a specific ethnic group.” He also made threats of blowing up churches of a specific race and bombing a public event in his lyrics. Moreover, his lyrics also referred to “shooting up his school,” where he was bullied. Reese also made threats of killing his grandmother, the president, as well as to blow up the senate. His lyrics also included “racial statements” towards specific groups of people and threats of killing them. Interestingly, police officers revealed that Reese has never a victim of abuse or trauma in the past.
Reese Alexander Sullivan justifies his song lyrics
During his arrest and interrogation, Rееsе Alеxandеr Sullivan justified his song lyrics, stating that he had no intentions of carrying out any of the things mеntionеd in his songs. He stated that his songs were simply supposed to be “funny”, and added that he did not possess any weapons. Reese also added that he was just 17 when he first wrote the lyrics to his song and began rapping.
