According to a statement given by the Houston Police Department, the department dispatched officials to the 5500 block of Richmond Avenue around 2:39 a.m on Saturday, after they received multiple reports of gun firing in the area.
The investigators who reached the scene, found a silver Porsche SUV. The Cops found 2 women inside the Porsche with multiple gunshot wounds.
A woman named Desto was reportedly seated in the driver’s seat and she was pronounced dead at the scene. While the other victim was rushed to a nearby hospital and is currently being treated.
Desto is known for songs like Best In Me, Free Slatt and while her age is unknown, her net worth stood at $3 million.
As of now, the other victim is said to be out of danger. Another victim, a male suffering from gunshot wounds was also found on the spot just a little distance from the SUV.
He has been rushed to a nearby hospital. The male victim has reportedly suffered non-life threatening injuries.
As per the investigators, the vehicle was shot from two different directions by multiple gunmen. As of now the motives behind the shooting aren’t clear.
However, authorities are currently investigating the matter and have been interviewing the eyewitnesses to get any information regarding the matter.
Till now, no arrests have been made. In a media interaction, the Assistant Chief at the Houston Police Department, Wyatt Martin, said in a statement that, “We don’t have any information about motive at this time.
The tragic news of Desto’s demise has come just a month after she released an official video of her track ‘Lunchroom,’ featuring the rapper.
After learning the news of her demise, rapper’s close friend, Lil Uzi Vert has taken to his social media and posted an emotional and heartfelt message.
He wrote, “I been tryna keep my mind off shit but it definitely hurt.”
The horrifying news of rapper’s killing has came after the reports of the shooting and killing another rapper, BFG Straap has surfaced. The 26-year-old rapper was shot in South Dallas on Thursday last week.
The Police official’s also found the rapper with multiple gunshot wounds and pronounced him dead. He was also a budding rapper like Lotta Cash Desto.
BFG had collaborated with many known personalities such as Gunna, Lil CJ Kasino, YBN Almighty Jay, Trapboy Freddy and Splurge.
