A rapper named Kevhani Camilla Hicks from Florida is in trouble for shooting her manager in the street. The rapper is now in custody, but a judge granted her a $50,000 bond and house arrest in a recent hearing.

A 27-year-old rapper named Kevhani Camilla Hicks, known as Key Vhani was caught on camera shooting her manager on October 9 in Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood. The incident unfolded after her manager and another man approached her on the street.

In a video obtained, Hicks and her manager were seen getting out of a white car, and they started arguing and physically fighting. Another man emerged from a back door, joining the altercation against Hicks. Eventually, they threw her to the ground and pinned her there.

After the fight stopped, Hicks walked away from her manager and the other person. Suddenly, she turned around, took a handgun from her bag, and started shooting.

Her manager quickly dropped to the ground, trying to find cover behind a car. However, Hicks went after him into the street, still firing shots until he ended up wounded and lying on the ground.

Right then, the guy who joined in the fight with Hicks got into their car and drove into her, seemingly running her over. After that, he quickly drove away, and Hicks got up and ran down the sidewalk, disappearing from view.

When the police arrived, they found the manager had been shot multiple times. He was taken to the hospital but sadly didn’t survive.

Hicks, who was also in the hospital with injuries from the fight, claimed to the police that she shot in self-defense because she was scared for her life.

According to a police report obtained, the person accused (defendant) said she felt scared because the victim was larger, and he yelled, “I’ll kill you with one hit.”

A GoFundMe page, believed to be set up by a family member for Hicks, claims that the two men shown in the video had assaulted her several times.

Her lawyer says it’s a clear case of self-defense.
