On Thursday night, during a discussion in the Lok Sabha about the achievement of the Chandrayaan-3 mission, Bidhuri made some offensive comments directed towards Ali. To this end, Danish Ali stated that he was not chosen by the electorate to listen to “hate speeches”.

Additionally, he requested the suspension of the BJP MP and claimed that Bidhuri had embarrassed the entire nation. When asked what he would do if Bidhuri was not punished, Ali responded, “I think the speaker would take action on this. But with a sad heart, I can think about leaving this House if action is not taken, as people did not elect me to Parliament to hear hate speech.

According to authorities, Om Birla, the speaker of the Lok Sabha, took “serious note” of Bidhuri’s offensive comments on Friday and threatened “strict action” against him if they were repeated in the future. 

Who is Ramesh Bidhuri?


Ramesh Bidhuri was born on July 18, 1961, and took office on December 4, 2003. He earned his Bachelor of Commerce from Saheed Bhagat Singh College, Delhi, and his LLB from Charan Singh University. Ramesh married Kamla Bidhuri in 1987.

He is a two-term MP and has been a three-time MLA of the Delhi Assembly. He belongs to Tughlakabad and his family has contributed significantly to the area’s development.


Since his college days, he has been active in politics and is a Hindu by religion.

On Friday, Ravi Shankar Prasad and Harsh Vardhan expressed their disagreement with Ramesh Bidhuri’s offensive comments. While Harsh Vardhan said that some individuals with vested interests had “dragged” his name into the controversy and that he was unable to “clearly hear” what was being said because of the “chaos” in the House at the time, Prasad asserted that he did not endorse any indecent remarks.
