On Tuesday, April 5th, 2023, a burglary took place in the Illinois residence of NBA legend Michael Jordan, who is now retired from the league with the thief identified as Raiden K Hagedorn
The Highland Park Police Department was dispatched to the 2700 block of Point Drive after receiving a report of an ongoing burglary.

Officers arrived on the scene shortly after 4 o’clock in the afternoon local time. The suspect, identified as 18-year-old Raiden K. Hagedorn, was taken into custody at the scene of the incident and then booked at the Highland Park Police Department.
According to the Lake and McHenry County Scanner, Hagedorn was charged with three counts of criminal misdemeanours. He was accused of committing one count of criminal trespass in Michael Jordan’s house as well as two charges of criminal damage to property.

Since that time, he has been allowed to go free on his own recognizance, and his next court appearance is planned on the 20th of April. A second person, a juvenile, was also brought into custody; however, the authorities did not give any specifics about this individual because they believe the person to be a minor.
A communications expert with the office of the state’s attorney for Lake County named Sara Avalos indicated that the authorities do not believe that Hagedorn was attempting to steal anything from the athlete’s home. The only thing that was broken was a window, and nothing else was taken.

In 2012, Michael Jordan’s mansion in Highland Park, Illinois, which sits on seven acres, was listed for sale at a price that established a new record of $29 million.

The family home, which was constructed in 1995 and functioned as the residence for Jordan and his family, encompasses a total area of 32,683 square feet and includes a guest house, a wine cellar with a capacity for 500 bottles, and a cigar parlour with a custom wood trim.
The next year, an auction for the property with a reserve price of $13 million did not result in a successful sale. Jordan’s representatives have not issued any statements regarding the current situation.
Media also requested the Highland Park Police Department’s statement, but the department did not respond to their request. The authorities are currently working to determine the specifics of what took place during the break-in while the incident is still being looked into as part of the inquiry.
