Julie Dombo is a retired teacher and school counsellor. She now works to inspire people live positive life and not give up as her recovering journey has not been a easy path. However, she never gave up and stayed positive.
Most people in the greater Wichita area already know Julie Dombo as a strong, motivated woman. Even after being shot during a robbery at an AT&T store in Derby in 2015, losing her hands and feet as a result, and receiving a breast cancer diagnosis in 2017, she didn’t give up.
Meanwhile, Dombo was present at the Kansas City Chiefs game on Sunday afternoon and was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time for an unforgettable experience. She met Taylor Swift who is often now seen in the stands cheering the Kansas City Chiefs. The inspiring woman shared how “lucky” she felt to meet the Lovestory famed singer.

Over the past 10 years, Julie Dombo has persevered, inspiring others as she heals from terrible injuries and finds creative ways to carry out daily tasks while retaining her freedom. She defeated cancer as well. Dombo received artificial legs and robotic arms. She uses a range of gadgets for writing, using her phone, and doing the dishes.
Dombo lost all four limbs when she was unintentionally caught in the middle of a heist and was shot twice in the chest. She was in a coma for a week. As per a report in ksn.com, she had to stay in the hospital for 114 days as well and she spent weeks in a rehab facility. Later on, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. After receiving radiation therapy for fifteen months, her cancer has now gone into remission.
