Former hockey player Paramjeet Kumar is going viral recently because of his condition after playing for the state

Cricket is the most popular sporting activity in India. Other sports, such as hockey, appear to be robbed of the attention that they deserve because of all of the emphasis that is being focused on cricket. Not just the sport itself, but also the players in it appeared to be on the receiving end of some unfair treatment.

Paramjeet Kumar, previously a potential state-level hockey player in Punjab, had brought glory to Punjab at one point in his career as a state-level hockey player. In addition to being a member of team Punjab, the Sports Authority of India, and PEPSU, he had also been awarded medals in four different junior national hockey competitions.

In 2007, he was a member of the Indian junior national hockey team. According to The Indian Express, however, he works as a “palledar” at the Faridkot mandi today, which means that he loads and unloads sacks during a shift that lasts the entire day. The reformed hockey player makes Rs 1.25 for each sack, and he must carry 450 sacks throughout the day in order to make a livelihood.

While his DOB isn’t known, he is aged between 30-35 years.

Users on social media were moved to tears after learning about the predicament of the state-level hockey player. A number of people on the internet have signed a petition requesting that the government assist Paramjeet Kumar. He has now been given a government state job in Punjab.

Others have expressed their dissatisfaction with the current state of affairs and have expressed their desire to find ways to assist the athlete in question.

In his conversation with the media portal, Paramjeet Kumar claimed that there are not many individuals at his place of employment who are familiar with hockey. After it has been disclosed, they consistently pat him on the back.

The hockey player stated that this is the sole benefit that he has received as a result of playing the sport. In Faridkot, where he grew up, Paramjeet was introduced to the sport of hockey by Baltej Indepal Singh Babbu, who was the coach at the Government Bijendra College.

In 2004, Paramjeet was chosen to participate in the Sports Authority of India (SAI) training centre that was hosted at NIS, Patiala. After that, in 2007, he was chosen to participate in the hockey programme at NIS Patiala’s Centre of Excellence.
