Desire Doue career
Desire Doue made his professional debut for Rennes on August 7, 2022, when he came on as a substitute in a 1-0 Ligue 1 loss to Lorient at home. He became the first player born in 2005 to score in any of the top five European leagues on August 31st when he scored his first goal as a professional in a 3-1 league victory against Brest at home.
Doue was brought on from the bench eighteen minutes prior to being substituted out in the closing minutes of the 3-1 loss against Lyon on April 9, 2023. Doue made 29 appearances in Ligue 1 by the end of the 2022–2023 season, 11 of which were as a starter.
In a 3-1 victory over Nantes on October 1, 2023, Doue scored his first goal of the 2023–24 Ligue 1 campaign. He played as a left winger for Rennes against Lyon on January 26, 2024, helping Martin Terrier score the first goal and scoring the second in a 3–2 victory.
Doue moved to Paris Saint-Germain, another Ligue 1 team, on August 17, 2024, for a total of €50 million (bonuses excluded). He agreed to a deal that will last until June 30, 2029. By doing this, he turned down a deal from Bayern Munich, a German team.
