They asked for 75 million for 7.5 percent equity, but the sharks weren’t interested because their presentation didn’t have the same level of fascination as the other pitchers on the most recent episode. The Sharks were happy to learn that Indian cricket spinner Ravichandran Ashwin will be representing their company. As Prateek further shared, he is the cousin of Indian batsman KL Rahul.

Freebowler founders were cricketers before

While being interviewed by the Sharks, they disclosed that prior to becoming founder, they were both Under-16 players. Prateek Palanethra admitted his interest in cricket after learning that KL Rahul is his cousin.

They demonstrated their products for the sharks and discussed pricing with them. Although Prateek and Vishwanath disclosed their financial losses to the sharks, most of them still decided not to back the company.

In Anupam Mittal’s opinion, there is no demand for this item. Mittal said he was surprised by the owners and had a hunch they didn’t know the market despite having been in operation for at least five years.

He emphasised that Prateek Palanethra and Vishwanath had lost money and offered his opinion that this was because the device had no market in India’s cricket industry, as every side already possessed its own bowling machine.

Namita Thapar offered a deal to Freebowler

Thapar offered the owners a deal that consisted of 25 lakhs for 15% ownership. And a 50 lakhs loan at 5% interest. However, Prateek and Vishwanath came back with a counteroffer. Frustrated by their lack of interest, Namita then stated that she had made them an offer to which they had not responded.

Peyush Bansal countered that the other Sharks’ concerns. About the potential for financial loss were really just a reflection of their enthusiasm in the business. Prateek and Vishwanath settled on a sum of 25 lakhs for 7.5% equity. And a sum of 50 lakhs for a loan with 10% interest. Anupam Mittal questioned their strategy for paying off their debts given their current financial situation.
