In Prayagraj (UP), according to authorities, a student at Allahabad University suffered serious injuries on Wednesday night when a bomb he was allegedly building in his dorm room exploded in his hand. The reason for the student’s bomb-making was initially unknown.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (Shivkuti) Rajesh Kumar Yadav stated that Prabhat Yadav, an MA student at Allahabad University, was building a bomb in his room at P C Banerjee Hostel when it exploded, severely wounding his right hand. He is in critical condition and has been admitted to SRN Hospital. Another student was slightly hurt in the event.
In the event, the officer reported that a second student had minor injuries. The ACP stated that a case against Prabhat Yadav will be filed shortly.
