The recent Euro 2024 match between Portugal and Czechia took place at the Red Bull Arena in Leipzig on June 18. Roberto Martínez’s squad won the match with a 2-1 score after the match remained goalless by the end of the first half. Czechia opened the scoring after their midfielder, Lukáš Provod, scored a goal in the 62nd minute.
However, tragedy struck Czechia after their defender Robin Hranac netted an own goal in the 69th minute. The Selecao eventually managed to hit back just minutes before the final whistle after Conceicao came off the bench in the 90th minute and scored the winning goal just two minutes after coming on.

Francisco Fernandes da Conceição is a Portuguese professional footballer who was born on December 14, 2002, in Coimbra, Portugal. He currently plays as a winger for Primeira Liga club Porto and the Portugal national football team. The young winger is currently just 21 years old. Francisco was born to parents Sérgio Conceição, and Liliana Conceição.
His father was a former professional footballer who most recently served as the manager of Porto since 2017. Notably, Sergio scored an iconic hat-trick to eliminate defending champions Germany from Euro 2000 over two decades ago. His older brothers, Sérgio and Rodrigo, are also both professional footballers.

The 21-year-old winger started his senior professional club career in 2020 as a reserve team player for Porto. After two seasons there, he transferred to Ajax in 2022 but later returned on loan to his former club for the 2023–24 season. Earlier this year, on April 23, Porto decided to re-sign Francisco Conceicao on a new five-year contract. Notably, Conceicao managed to score eight goals and provide eight assists for Porto across 43 appearances in all competitions last season.
