As Rybakina posed happily with her opponent for photos, following the win, she noticeably stepped aside when Archer approached to join them, sparking all kinds of reactions.

However, as the winners’ photo session took place, an unexpected scene occurred, as WTA CEO Portia Archer stepped forward for the traditional group photo. Rybakina quietly walked away as Portia came forward, sparking off all kinds of reactions and backlash.
As officials urged her to return, she refused and signaled for the session to continue without her. The cameras captured the whole moment, showing Rybakina standing apart while exuding a calm yet defiant expression. Upon being questioned afterward, she stated how she wanted to:
