In a tragic occurrence, a mother and her son were detained by Delhi’s Pandav Nagar Crime Branch for the murder of a man. So, let’s find out how did they murder him:
Mother-Son Duo Arrested For Killing A Man
According to the Delhi Police Crime Branch, Poonam and her son Deepak first gave Anjan Das sleeping medication, so that he can lose consciousness. After he become unconscious, they murdered him.
Later, they divided the corpse into 22 pieces, stored them in the refrigerator, and dumped the fragments in the neighboring ground. They then began to dispose of the body by scattering bits of it every day in various places around Pandav Nagar and East Delhi
It’s interesting to note that the case dates from June when police found the body pieces. According to the police, the accused’s house is in the Trilokpuri neighborhood of Delhi, where the murder event occurred.
Why Did They Murder A Man?
According to authorities, the mom and her son have admitted to the heinous act.
Poonam admitted Anjan was her third spouse. Her former spouse died of cancer in 2017, following which she had begun living with Das.
When Poonam learned that her husband Anjan Das had sold her jewelry and sent the proceeds to his previous wife, who resided in Bihar with their eight children, she allegedly became enraged. He was also having an extramarital affair, according to the police.
According to what Deepak has said to the police, Das reportedly harassed Deepak’s wife, therefore Deepak consented to the plot.
