Who’s Pratik Doshi?
In the presence of family and friends, Parakala Vangmayi, the Finance Minister’s daughter, married Pratik Doshi. Pratik Doshi has been the Prime Minister’s Office’s OSD to the PM since 2014. He is from Gujarat and was sent to Delhi when Narendra Modi became Prime Minister of India in 2014.
His wife and FM Nirmala Sitharaman’s daughter, Parakala Vangmayi, works as a feature writer for Mint Lounge’s Books and Culture section.
Doshi graduated from Singapore Management School and served as a Research Assistant in the Gujarat Chief Minister’s office during PM Modi’s stint as CM. According to the PMO website, Doshi is in charge of the PMO’s Research and Strategy Wing.
According to a list provided by the PMO detailing the monthly compensation of PMO officers and personnel in 2018, Doshi works at Level 13, and his basic salary is Rs.1,34,500. He also receives various government benefits. While his DOB isn’t known, he is aged between 32-34 years.
Pratik, on the other hand, is known for maintaining a low-key presence and is not active on social media platforms. Vangmayi, who was born in Chennai on May 20, 1991, similarly avoids the spotlight.
Vangmayi Sitharaman, FM Sitharaman’s daughter, is a feature writer for Mint Lounge’s Books and Culture section. She possesses a Master’s degree in English from the University of Delhi and an MS in Journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.
The wedding of Vangmayi and Partik Doshi was a low-key affair, with no VVIPS or prominent political officials invited to the ceremony, which was conducted at a private hotel in Bengaluru. The wedding in Karnataka was attended by just close members from both households. A video of the ceremony, which followed Hindu marital norms, also went viral, with seers from Udupi Adamaru Mutt praising the wedded couple.
Parakala Prabhakar, Sitharaman’s husband, is a political economist who worked as a communications advisor and held a cabinet-level position in the Andhra Pradesh government between July 2014 and June 2018.
