He then committed to Washington State and played two years of college basketball for the Cougars. He eventually transferred to San Diego State for his final two seasons of NCAA basketball. During his time there, he was named the Mountain West Player of the Year as a senior in 2019–20.
Following a successful college career, the Toronto Raptors selected him as the 29th pick in the first round of the 2020 NBA draft. Malachi scores historic 50-points despite Detroit loss
Flynn notably came off the bench for starter Jaden Ivey in the recent game on Wednesday. He eventually went on to make 18 of his 25 shot attempts, including five of nine three-pointers. Flynn also had an impressive performance on defense, where he notched six rebounds and five steals.
Notably, Flynn’s 50-point game was a highly unexpected one.
