Though, the 25-year-old athlete often shares updates about her training and performances but has usually kept her private life out of the public eye.
Schmidt’s Performance at the German Championship
After the German Championships in Braunschweig, Schmidt gave fans a glimpse of her life off the track. She qualified for the final with a heat time of 52.18 seconds, just 11 hundredths slower than her personal best.
After the finals, Schmidt expressed her satisfaction with her performance this year, stating, “This is the most important year of my career. That’s why I’m so happy that things are going so well now.
“At the highlight so far, I was able to show what I’m capable of and of course, I hope it continues like this.”
Schmidt will compete in the 400-meter relay at the Paris Olympics. Schmidt not only excels on the track but is also a star on Instagram, with more than 5 million followers.
Despite her social media presence, she has refrained from posting couple photos on her profile.
The athletics star and her boyfriend are said to have been together for many years and reportedly live together in Potsdam.
However, still there isn’t much information available about Richter-Mendau.
On his Instagram account, Richter-Mendau shares only a few self-taken photos of Schmidt at competitions or photo shoots.
