The incident occurred in 2020 when Phillip Thomas II broke into Deville’s Florida home. The guy allegedly spent eight months arranging the kidnapping after developing a “disturbing obsession” with the wrestler. He traveled from South Carolina to Florida in an attempt to carry out the crime.
When he smashed through a back sliding door and activated the alarm, Deville, who was 29 at the time, and a visitor in her home realized that an intruder had broken in. Later, police discovered Thomas with a knife, mace, duct tape, and plastic zip ties. They reported that he had waited for four hours for Deville to go to sleep after cutting through a screen.
