YG Entertainment launched Pharita Chaikong as their newest band member for Baby Monster on February 2, 2023. The singer is just 17 years old and is grabbing a lot of attention as she was officially introduced as the sixth member of the band. She is the third Thai idol under YG Entertainment after Blackpinks, Lisa, and Chikita. Pharita was the same girl that Lisa mentioned in the Rolling Stone interview.
According to YG Entertainment’s former CEO, she is very photogenic and looks like she came straight out of a Disney movie.

Who Is Pharita Chaikong?
Pharita Chaikong was born on August 26, 2005, in Thailand. Her nickname is “Look Pear” (Nong Prae). She studied at the Ruamrudee International School and is well-versed in Thai and English. She comes from a small family, which includes her mother, father, and brother.
Before making it big in K-pop, Pharita was a child model and won the grand prize and first place at Inter Model Thailand. She was also a contestant at the Idol Paradise with the name Pear.
In 2010, the young model then flew for the first time to Japan and later visited Korea in 2011. Here is when she found the biggest change in her life after living in a dorm.
The 17 year old has a height of 5 feet 4 inches.
Becoming Part Of The Industry
She auditioned with Blackpink’s song, “How You Like That,” and was chosen out of 1,226 applicants. She adores Blackpink and looks at her as her role model. When she sings high notes, she knows how to employ her own high tone with ease.
Her training has lasted two and a half years since she auditioned for YG Entertainment in July 2020.
Pharita Chaikong’s Interest
Pharita enjoys visits to the zoo as she is very fond of animals. Giraffe is her favourite animal, as she adores their long necks and soft fur. Apart from animals, she is also very fond of birds, as she finds their colourful wings extremely beautiful and attractive. Like most of the other singers, she is a huge fan of anime.
The 17-year-old doesn’t enjoy beach outings, which she feels make her dirty. Despite working as a child model, she feels nervous while facing the camera but is extremely positive about the future ahead.
