Darren Ferguson without doubt the biggest bellend in football.
Costing his own player a memory of a lifetime getting to play against his own dad. Just put him on for 5 minutes at the end
Ironic as fuck considering the only reason Ferguson is in football is his own dad like https://t.co/3WuluDP3EQ

Ferguson began his managerial career as player-manager of Peterborough United in January 2007. He led the club to back-to-back promotions, bringing them to the Championship for the first time in 17 years. However, he was dismissed in November 2009 with Peterborough at the bottom of the league. In January 2010, Ferguson became manager of Preston North End but was sacked later that year following poor results.
Darren returned to Peterborough in 2011, where he guided them to another promotion to the Championship with a 3–0 victory in the League One play-off final against Huddersfield Town. Despite relegation from the Championship in 2013, Ferguson’s team became known for their attacking style, finishing the season as the top-scoring team in England.
After another brief stint at Peterborough, Ferguson managed Doncaster Rovers from 2015 to 2018, leading them to promotion from League Two in 2017. He returned to Peterborough for a third time in January 2019, and in May 2021, he achieved promotion to the Championship. Despite a difficult 2022 season, Ferguson remained at Peterborough, where he guided the team to the play-offs in 2023.
In the same year, he won his second EFL Trophy title, and in the 2023–24 season, Peterborough finished 4th in League One but lost in the play-offs. Off the field, Ferguson has faced personal controversies, including a 2007 arrest for assaulting his estranged wife, for which he pleaded guilty and was fined. Ferguson’s career has been marked by both success and challenges, demonstrating resilience and leadership in English football.
In June 2003 the football manager married Nadine Metcalfe but they divorced in 2007 and the former couple have two children, Charlie, who is Nadine’s son from a previous relationship and Grace.
Ferguson was arrested on suspicion of assaulting her on the driveway of his dad’s home in Wilmslow, Cheshire, in October 2007 and was charged in January 2008 with grievous bodily harm and pleaded guilty to the charge in April leading him to be fined £1,500.
He is now married to Nicola Noblet and they have a son named Frankie, born 2010.
Darren Ferguson agreed a three-year contract to continue as the first team manager of League One side Peterborough back in 2023 and while his salary isn’t known, his net worth currently stands at $5 million. His dad Sir Alex is meanwhile worth $70 million.
