Pato O’Ward competes full-time in the IndyCar Series with Arrow McLaren, driving the No. 5 Chevrolet. He’s signed up to the Driver Development Programme and will be McLaren’s reserve driver for the 2024 Formula One season.


He began his racing career in karting, which ended in 2005, and he did so until 2012. The person raced open-wheel in 2013, competing in Formula Renault 1.6 NEC, Latam Formula 2000, and Pacific Formula F2000.

In a second Harding Racing entry, O’Ward made his IndyCar Series debut at Sonoma Raceway, two weeks after taking home the 2018 Indy Lights championship. He qualified fifth and finished ninth.
