Who is Riyan Parag?
Riyan Parag is a well-known Indian cricketer. He has been in the news because he was recently criticized for his poor performance in the Indian Premier League 2023 and for a mischievous tweet.
His full name is Riyan Parag Das. He was born on November 10, 2001, in Guwahati, Assam, India. His father’s name is Parag Das, who is also a former cricket player, and his mother’s name is Mithoo Barooah, who is a former national record-holding swimmer in the 50-meter freestyle. He also has a sister, whose name is Anita Pandey.
Parag Das is an Indian cricketer who played domestic cricket for Assam cricket team and is a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm medium pace. Das made his first-class debut for Assam in the 1993/94 Ranji Trophy and played 43 first-class matches with highest score of 118 and 32 List A matches.
Parag was stumped by a young keeper called MS Dhoni 20 years back. He was an opening batsman for Assam.

His career
On January 29, 2017, Riyan Parag played his first Twenty20 match for Assam in the 2016–17 Inter-State Twenty20 Competition. Then, in October 2017, he was selected for India’s team to compete in the ACC Under-19 Asia Cup.
After this, he made his first-class debut for Assam in the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy on November 17, 2017. Later, he became Assam’s top run-scorer in the 2018–19 Vijay Hazare Trophy with 248 runs in seven games.
At the player auction for the 2019 Indian Premier League in December 2018, the Rajasthan Royals acquired him for his base price of Rs 20 lakh. Although Riyan Parag was released by Rajasthan before the 2022 IPL super auction, he was repurchased by the club in the 2022 IPL tournament auction, which was held in February of that year.
