Ajeet Singh Yadav is an Indian Para athlete who was born on September 5, 1993 in Etawah, Uttar Pradesh. He competes in the men’s javelin throw sport, under the F-46 category. Ajeet is making his second Paralympics appearance in Paris 2024 after making his Paralympic debut back at the 2020 Summer Paralympics.

Back in 2017, Ajeet was involved in a tragic train accident in an attempt to save his friend. Following the incident, he was left without his left arm below the elbow. Despite the setback, he took part Para Athletic Senior National 2018 just 4 months after the accident.

Ajeet Singh is currently pursuing his PhD in physical education and sports from LNIPE, Gwalior.

Career

Ajeet Singh started out playing para javelin at a young age and eventually made his international debut in 2019. He later took part in 7th World Para Athletics Grand Prix in Beijing, China, where he won a gold in the Men’s javelin throw. Later that same year, Ajeet represented India during the World Para Athletics Championships in Dubai where he won a bronze medal. As a result, he qualified for the 2020 Summer Paralympics and also went on to win a gold in the 2021 World Para Athletics Grand Prix. He is now a Paralympic silver medallist in
