Manisha Ramadass born 27 January 2005 is an Indian para-badminton player from Tamil Nadu. A clinical mistake by doctors while guiding her out of the birth canal meant Ramadass’ right arm got damaged even before she was born but her parents, Sumita and Ramadass, asked her to focus on her game and in 2017, she played her first tournament. She is currently ranked number 2 in the world.

In 2022, Manisha made her international debut and swiftly ascended to the top by becoming the world number 1 in the SU5 category on August 22, 2022. Her debut year saw her clinch her first title at the Spanish (Level 2) Para-Badminton International in 2022, followed by an impressive haul of 11 gold and five bronze medals throughout the year.

Manisha’s exceptional performance in 2022 earned her the prestigious BWF Female Para Badminton Player of the Year award. She was also honored with the Sportstar Aces Award for Sportswoman of the Year in parasports.
