After a long chase, the people in the car abandoned the vehicle and fled. Amritpal’s associate Papalpreet Singh was also accompanying him in his run. Singh was seen riding with him in cars, motorcycles, and also on foot. Papalpreet has been finally arrested.

As per the media reports, Papalpreet Singh is the main handler of Pro Khalistan radical Amritpal Singh. Amritpal considers him as his mentor and also media advisor while he is also linked with ISI. Singh is breaking the peace in the state of Punjab by spreading their pro-Khalistan sentiments.
Papalpreet Singh comes from agricultural family background and is said to have studied at a convent school and holds a PG diploma. Singh took to political activism in his 20s and got associated with Sikh Youth Front and Sikh Youth Federation (Bhindrawala). Apart from expressing his support for the Khalistan movement, Papalpreet had demanded the release of jailed Sikh prisoners since the 90s and came to the limelight during the 2015 Sarbat Khalsa when he read out militant Narain Singh Chaura’s ‘chargesheet’ against the then Parkash Singh Badal government and claimed that “Khalistan is the only solution.”

In 2016, he joined Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) and campaigned for Simranjit Singh Mann in Barnala in the 2017 Assembly elections and intelligence reports suggest that Papalpreet has links with ISI and uses its support to leverage the cause of Khalistan in Punjab.
Papalpreet Singh is considered to be one of Amritpal Singh’s mentors who had been advising him on various issues. He is associated with the fugitive preacher closely since he returned to India last year and took over the reins of ‘Waris Punjab De.’
Papalpreet Singh addressed himself as a video journalist and he runs a pro-Khalistan website. In early 2015, the Badal government booked him in a sedition case. In the same year, Papalpreet was arrested for alleged links with the ISI.
As per different reports, the Income Tax department has found his accounts to be fake. Singh had furnished the details in his tax returns.
In 2022, Papalpreet told the income tax department that his income from YouTube is Rs 20,000 per month while on other hand he earned Rs 15,000 from his hair business. Amritpal was seen sipping soft drinks with his mentor Papalpreet on Tuesday night.
Punjab Police launched a big investigation search operation last Tuesday in the city of Hoshiarpur in Punjab after a few suspects abandoned their vehicles after a chase. Police officials are searching for Amritpal Singh, a pro-Taliban preacher who led an attack on a police station a few days back.
The police was suspecting that Amritpal could be in the car which was going to Phagwara. They chased a vehicle while the occupants of the car abandoned the vehicle and fled near Gurdwara Bhai Chanchal Singh near Marnaian village. The Punjab police launched a cordon as well as a search operation in that village. They have put barricades all across the village.
