Saad Ahmed, a meme sensation from Pakistan known for his viral “Galian dena munasib nahi hai” dialogue, was in Karachi on June 4 filming the local excitement for the T20 World Cup in his vlog.

While capturing reactions at a market in the capital city, a security guard fatally shot the 24-year-old internet star. As per reports, the YouTuber approached the guard to discuss his video shoot, and following that, the tragic incident took place.

According to the accounts given by the local media, an altercation took place between the YouTuber and the security guard after he approached the latter for his India vs Pakistan pre-match enthusiasm vlog.

During the confrontation that reportedly took place near Sereena Mobile Mall in Karachi’s Buffer Zone, the YouTuber allegedly made some provocative gestures, prompting the guard to take action leading to the distressing shooting incident.

As per media reports, the security guard is identified as Hamad Gul. The 35-year-old guard was reportedly dizzy and unwell when the incident took place.

As per Pakistani media channel reports, the guard did not intend to kill Saad.

Police Investigation

Following the incident came to the limelight, Pakistan police intervened, registering an FIR against Gul. A case has been filed under sections 302 (premeditated murder), 322 (manslaughter), and 34 (common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code, lodged by Saad’s father.

About Saad Ahmed

For the unfamiliar, 24 year old Saad Ahmed was a content creator behind the YouTube channel “Munasib Nahi Hai,” which has more than 2.9K subscribers.

Meanwhile, his Facebook page has over 7.4K followers. As per his Facebook bio page, Saad, who hailed from Karachi, Pakistan, was an athlete.

Notably, Saad’s last vlog was uploaded on the same day as his death on his YouTube channel. The last video on his channel showcased a local match held in Karachi.

Saad rose to fame on social media after his appearance on the Pakistani reality show ‘Living on the Edge,’ where he delivered his now-famous dialogue.

Following his viral moment, he renamed his YouTube channel to “Munasib Nahi Hai.”

The distressing shooting incident left Saad’s family devastated and heartbreaking. As per reports, he was the only source of income for his family.

However, as of now there isn’t much information available about his family members.

After a video of the incident made rounds on social media platforms across Pakistan, netizens took to Facebook, X/Twitter and demanded strict action against the security guard. Following that, the guard was arrested by the local police.
