Pakistan has chosen to sue Accra in response to journalist Mubasher Lucman’s claims that captain Babar Azam fixed a match, which led to the team’s early exit from the 2024 T20 World Cup.

A video that Lucman posted on his YouTube channel claims that Azam was rewarded with expensive gifts, such as an Audi E-Tron and properties in Australia and Dubai, for orchestrating defeats.

Who is Mubasher Lucman?

Mubasher Lucman who is a Muslim by religion is a journalist from Pakistan who was born on January 11, 1963 in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistani and has a height of 5 feet 7 inches. He is also a former caretaker provincial minister in the Punjab caretaker ministry in 2007-08.

The 61-year-old works as a film director and news anchor. He was born to movie director-producers of the 50s and 60s. He has completed his graduation in both, Aitchison College Lahore and Government College Lahore. 

For his stage plays, Mubasher became well-known and well-respected in his youth. His career in journalism kicked off when he joined an advertising agency and worked as a copywriter there.

He had worked in Pakistan’s advertising industry for a number of years, and he wrote the screenplays for numerous well-known domestic and foreign brands, including Nestle and Coca-Cola.
