The young Pakistani spinner ran riot against Zimbabwe during their 2nd T20I at Queens Sports Club, Bulawayo. Sufiyan Muqeem claimed five wickets for just three runs as Zimbabwe finished with their lowest T20I score of 57. The young left-arm wrist spinner entered the game late as the sixth option before claiming five wickets in just 16 balls.
The 25-year-old entered the match in the 9th over, picking wickets in back-to-back deliveries against Ryan Burl and Tashinga Musekiwa. He then claimed wickets against Clive Madande, Tashinga Musekiwa, and Richard Ngarava. Pakistan eventually wrapped up the Zimbabwe innings in just 12.4 overs. Sufiyan Muqeem who is a Muslim by religion is a Pakistani cricketer who was born on November 15, 1999, in Swabi, Pakistan. He manly plays as a left-arm wrist spin bowler for the Pakistan national cricket team. He has also played for the Peshawar Zalmi team in the Pakistan Super League as well as for the Dolphins at the domestic cricket level. Sufiyan has also played for the Sabih Azhar Cricket Academy. He is single and unmarried.

Career
Sufiyan Muqeem made his T20I debut during the 2023 Asian Games against Hong Kong. He then went through a transitional phase with the Pakistan national team, who helped him make a comeback during the Australia tour. Sufiyan claimed three wickets against Australia during the series opener before registering a five in the second T20I.
Muqeem has so far played only five matches in the PSL, representing Peshawar Zalmi and claiming just four wickets. Sufiyan Muqeem still hasn’t made his first-class debut, but his recent performances on the Zimbabwe tour could seemingly help him get a chance.
