On Day 1 of the second Test at Multan on Friday, December 9, a young Pakistani bowler named Abrar Ahmed startled England in the opening session of play.
The England cricket team won the toss and they decided to bat first. They are also leading the three-match series by 1-0. However, by lunchtime, they had been reduced to 180/5 in 33 overs, with all five wickets falling to Abrar Ahmed before he ended up with 7 wickets on day one.

Abrar Ahmed is a Pakistani cricketer. He has been in the news because he recently took a 5-wicket haul in his debut test match against England.
In October 1998, he was born in Karachi. He has 7 siblings: five brothers and three sisters. Among them, he is the youngest one. Shahzad Khan, one of his brothers, is a sprinter who previously represented the National Bank.
He is currently 24 years old with his height at 1.83m. He is currently unmarried and single.
His Career
Abrar Ahmed has so far competed in 14 matches for first-class teams, 12 games for List A, and 17 T20 matches. With seven five-wicket hauls, he has 76 first-class wickets at an average of 25.56.
His average in List A cricket is 25.70, while his strike rate in T20s is 19.8. Additionally. he has taken 17 wickets at an average of 25.70.
In the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy match between Sindh and the Southern PNJ in November 2020, he made his first-class debut. On November 2021, he faced Sri Lanka A in his List A debut.
Abrar Ahmed had an outstanding Quaid-e-Azam Trophy season in 2022–2023, finishing with 43 wickets for Sindh in seven games at an average of 21.95.
