A popular X account with the handle @Kollege Kidd shared an image of the young artist with his mentor NBA YoungBoy and wrote the caption:

P Yungin, whose real name is Kamrein McClay, is an American rapper who was born on September 24, 2004 in USA. Yungin is originally from Plaquemine, Louisiana, and he was raised there before later moving to South Florida. While speaking in an interview, P. Yungin revealed that his stage name was a tribute to his birthplace, Plaquemine. He also revealed how he initially used his rap name as Plaq Yungin. His net worth isn’t known though.

As a rapper, P Yungin gained prominence back in 2019 with his EPs I Love Y’all and Me vs. World. He eventually rose to fame with his 2020 debut single ‘I’m On’ from the mixtape Demons Everywhere I Go. He soon joined NBA Young Boy’s Never Broke Again collective and collaborated on multiple projects.
By 2021, Yungin had dropped several solos, including the singles “Pull Up Actin” and “Smiling.” He also launched mixtapes like Let Me Go Home Alone and Retaliation. The following year, he released his debut album, titled KAM, and then its sequel, titled DOY.
