Oscar Bruzon started his managerial career at Areosa and Celta de Vigo, managing youth teams. Having coached Sporting Clube de Goa in 2012 and guided them to the Goa Professional League title in the 2013–14 season, he has experience with Indian football. In addition, he was Mumbai FC’s head coach in the 2017 I-League and Mumbai City FC’s assistant coach in the ISL 2015–16.
Oscar Bruzon won five straight league championships with the Bangladeshi team Bashundhara Kings. He has won 94 games out of 114, with a 2.59 points-per-match ratio, making him the most successful coach in Bangladesh Premier League history.
From 2018 to 2024, the Bashundhara Kings won 13 games and lost just seven under Bruzon’s leadership. Under Bruzon, the team won three Independence Cup victories and three Federation Cup titles in addition to five straight Bangladesh Premier League championships. They let up 80 goals while scoring 277.
During his first season as coach, Bruzon also guided New Radiant SC to victories in the Dhivehi Premier League, Maldives FA Cup, President’s Cup, and Maldivian FA Charity Shield.
Bruzon won 11 of 19 games in the AFC Cup while managing Bashundhara Kings and New Radiant FC in the Maldives. Last season, he nearly missed making it to the knockout stages despite defeating two ISL clubs.
As a player, Bruzon played as a winger and defensive central midfielder for Gran Pea, Celta B, Universidad LP, and Pontevedra CF.
